Our Story: Three Generations of Tailoring

Three generations, one craft

LARMES began long before it had a name. It began with the careful first stitches of a grandmother, was carried forward by the skilled hands of a mother, and became a label in 2018, when designer Lệ Đỗ founded LARMES. Today she leads the house as Founder and Head Designer.

Growing up in a family of tailors, Lệ Đỗ inherited more than handwork. She learned to read a fabric, to judge a cut, and to notice how a garment moves with a woman's body. Designing was never a choice she had to make. It was a natural continuation of the craft she grew up with, and a way to express her own point of view.

Inheriting – Preserving – Thriving

Three words hold the LARMES philosophy.

• Inheriting: the hand-tailoring techniques and the understanding of the female form passed down through three generations.
• Preserving: the discipline of the craft itself. Precise pattern-making, hand-covered buttons, handcrafted lace and careful finishing, done by our artisans.
• Thriving: the belief that tradition must keep evolving. Classical tailoring meets a modern design language, so heritage stays alive rather than standing still.

Structure and softness

Every LARMES piece looks for a balance between precise structure and softness. A sculpted corset bodice gives way to a flowing chiffon skirt. A defined waist opens into an A-line silhouette that moves gently with each step. We work with fabrics chosen for how they hold a shape and how they feel to wear: taffeta, satin, chiffon, lace and organza.

Our tailored dresses and sets are made for the moments that matter: weddings, dinners, celebrations and travel. Across collections such as Floréa, Luméa Élan and Vernal Radiance, our occasion dresses and designer evening dresses share the same idea of understated beauty, refined enough to stand out while leaving room for the woman wearing them to be herself.

We do not chase trends that fade within a season. Lệ Đỗ hopes that a LARMES design can still be worn years later, styled in a new way, and still make its wearer feel confident and entirely herself.
